Health & Safety

With a dedicated health and safety executive and in-house committee, we place great emphasis on ensuring our workers are both happy and secure within our office and manufacturing environments. Whether that is within our Glasgow HQ or any of our showroom premises in Rosyth, Washington or Northampton.

Our staff undergo regular forklift and manual handling refresher courses, first aid training and ongoing development regarding our machinery.

5S programme

One of the key strategies our committee continue to implement and maintain on a daily basis is our 5S programme, which has undoubtedly increased efficiency, effectiveness, and safety within each department in our factory premises.

It is this system which has allowed us to create an effortless flow from acceptance of raw materials in our goods in area to finished product within our fulfilment section - improving the quality of each item and minimising the waiting time for our customers.

Diversity

Unique to our business, Rearo promotes diversity in regards to communication between our workers on the shop floor with regular sign language classes.

Designed to break the barrier with our hearing impaired staff, these provide everyone with a universal language in which to converse - creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our all involved.

Proven track record against workplace incidents

Acknowledged by our ISO 45001:2018 certification, our health and safety standards practiced across all premises ensure that work-related injury and ill health is kept to a minimum.

Since 2017 we have been making steady progress in reducing these figures, with our average time between any factory incidents sitting currently at 200+ days.
