The rebuilding of Shetland’s largest secondary school, Anderson High, between 2015- 2017, was the local authority’s biggest construction project to date. With a 155-year heritage, the new school offers a modern, learning environment for up to 1,180 day and boarding pupils.

Working in partnership with main contractor Galliford Try, Rearo supplied all washroom facilities within the new school building, along with over 80 ensuite areas in the boarding facilities.

For the school washrooms, our MFC (moisture resistant) core cubicles, Integrated Plumbing System (IPS)
and vanity units with bespoke choice laminates were selected from ranges by Formica and Sonae, using a
bold statement yellow for female facilities and cooling mint for males.
